T.E.A.M. Berlin sneaks up on you without wailing sirens and screeching breaks. It's a police team that acts unobtrusively, lightning-fast and with enormous concentration. It comes out of the dark and disappears silently back into it. This special unit of the Berlin police force, consisting of three men and one woman, was put together by the Senator of the Interior himself. Its mission: to take action as quickly as possible in crisis situations – unbureaucratically fast, efficient and under cover.
Georg Paulsen is the T.E.A.M.'s head, heart and soul. He is a man who takes his job seriously: not only because he carries responsibility, but also because his people are his 'family'. His worldly wisdom, his experience and his integrity make him a natural leader.
His ragtag squad consists of Nathalie, the upper-class girl on an adventure trip; Mirko, the comic from the vice squad, with contacts to the red-light scene that are a little too good; Lanart, the pushy guy with an itchy trigger finger. Three outsiders on the police force - three individualists who Paulsen welds together into T.E.A.M. Berlin.
Set in an urban milieu, 'T.E.A.M. Berlin' is a police drama with an emphasis on action and with dramatic pivotal scenes shot in a video-clip idiom. Its particular aesthetics and unique look make it especially popular among young viewers.
