The grim reaper (“Fratzenschneider”) is back - or is a copycat criminal haunting Berlin? The way the dreaded serial killer operates resembles exactly the way of the infamous Berlin grim reaper who commited heinous crimes in the 1920s: He cut off his victims facial skin to turn them into bloody masks.
The police suspects Tim Apitz to be the cruel killer and arrests him. Tim’s friends Mike, Jenny and Nina have disappeared and detective Meisner believes that they were kidnapped by Tim. He also thinks that Tim is a psycho obsessed by the legend of the grim reaper. Tim tries to prove that he is innocent and also tries to free his friends from the claws of the beast. His hunt turns into a horror trip that reveals frightening details about Tim’s past.
