When former Berlin detective Armin Streiwen (Sigmar Solbach) takes care of little Nicole Weber‘s (Roxanne Borski) wounds after she suffered through a bike accident, he has not the slightest clue, that his care makes him a murder suspect. Nicole’s dead body is found in one of Berlin’s canals the next day. Detective Kathrin Veit (Elisabeth Lanz) and Streiwen, who now works for a different department and has to secure the evidence, are called to the crime scene. Streiwen recognizes the girl immediately.
The witnesses recognize him as well and report that they saw him with the girl. After they have identified him without a doubt, Streiwen himself becomes the murder suspect. District attorney Thomas Lottner (Dirk Martens) handels the case. He and Kathrin still believe that Armin is innocent. But the suspicion weighs heavily on Armin’s conscience. Without notifying his colleagues he contacts the dead girl’s parents and wants to talk to Nicole‘s dad Roland (Francis Fulton-Smith) who also lost his wife recently. Shortly after Armin has left the house, Roland Weber’s dead body is found. When forensics check for evidence they find Armin’s fingerprints everywhere. Right after that, the police puts him on the wanted-list and start hunting him down...
