RESCUE DOGS (RED) is an organisation operating with teams of men and dogs, whose job is to save lives. The efficiency of each team is based on perfect teamwork. Under the command of the RED-leader the probono crews collaborate with their dogs. Vera (Barbara Lanz), Caro (Mariella Ahrens) and Johnny (Nikolai Ritzkowsky) with their dogs Hitch, Wuschel, Max and Mona are in Tom’s (Florian Weber) crew. Tom is invited to his friend Tilo’s wedding. Tilos dad Berns has rented an party-bus for the special occasion. It takes the wedding guests to Kai’s romantic hotel in the mountains where the big wedding party begins. When the bus crosses a bridge it collides head on with an out of control truck. The bus breaks through the railing of the bridge and tumbles down the hill. Tom survives unhurt and immediately tries to assess the gravity of the situation. He realizes that a timebomb is about to explode when he sees the truck, loaded up with propane bottles hardly hanging on the bridge. His cell phone is not working so the only way to get help is to send his dog hitch for back up. With Hitch’s help the rescue team is launching a dangerous effort to save all the passengers…
