Dorothee (Rita Russek) and her neighbors, life-embracing Helga (Christine Neubauer), widowed Elli (Manon Straché) and shy Lou (Ursula Karven), are well to do and don’t have to worry about a thing. But even living in paradise gets old after a while and that’s why they decide to implement change, to get their juices flowing again.
They scheme up a unique mind game at the coffee table that’s supposed to change their frustrating daily routines: Each lady hast to pick someone out of their social network and wish them dead. The victim of choice is easily found. There’s the continuingly unfaithful husband, the cunning mother in law, the annoyingly curious neighbor and the selfish lover.
They want to decide by lottery which lady has to follow through with which murder. She will have to custom-make the best way of extinguishing the potential victim – just for fun and not for real, of course. Fearful Lou has second thoughts about this game which seems extremely dangerous. But the others push forward. Don’t we all need exhilarating mind games to get us through middle age boredom? Doesn’t true adventure start out with a vision? The other three ladies think they are on the right track…
